Pathways is a charity set up to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community, in such a way as they are better able to identify and meet their needs and to participate more fully in society. Pathways' first project is 'Pathways at Kennington Cross', a bespoke conversion and addition to St Anselm's Church in North Lambeth that will provide a newly configured place of worship, a new restaurant with deli and cafe, a new community hall, residential accommodation and education space in addition to the nursery school and business units already operating on the site.
Pathways at Kennington Cross' mission is to divert disaffected young Londoners in Kennington from crime and the cycle of re-offending by offering them a pathway to a better place in their community and through doing so to reinvigorate Kennington's heart making a stable, distinctive and dynamic neighbourhood centre.
